Currently, Andea has an opening for a Junior System Administrator to join our dynamic team and that are looking for new and exciting things (Andea prides itself on training and building up our employees with many different career paths)
What you’ll be working on
Andea is a global software integrator and development house focused on building cutting-edge solutions for the manufacturing industry. Our software solutions have helped companies like CoorsTech, Bombardier, or Sierra Nevada Corporation to better track, manage and optimize their production processes.
We are looking for highly motivated, team-oriented individuals that can help Andea develop and maintain applications inside a platform called QU4RTET. Taking this role, you will be working on enhancing and maintaining customer solutions based on the QU4RTET platform hosted in Amazon Web Services or on premise.
Some of your daily tasks will include:
- Implementing and managing customer solutions based on the QU4RTET platform.
- Providing support for production environments.
- Providing customer service during support hours (reporting issue status, resolution feedback).
You won’t be working on your own, and you won’t be left to your own devices as soon as the onboarding process is complete either – you’ll be a part of a larger team consisting of System Administrator, Developer, and a Manager.
Our tech stack
- For our database, we use the PostgreSQL
- In terms of development, we write code in Python with Django framework, and we develop frontend in JavaScript React framework as to the operating system, we work on latest Linux releases
What you will bring along
- Linux – experience in administration
- Python knowledge and algorithmic skills
- SQL knowledge
- Very good command of the English language, both speaking and writing
- Ability to work from 2 to 10 p.m.
Even better if you also have:
- Cloud (preferably AWS) – general knowledge and concepts
- Django framework knowledge will be an asset
- JavaScript and React framework knowledge
- Git
- Bachelor’s in Computer Science or similar is sufficient, while a master’s degree is a plus

You’ll begin your journey with Andea with an onboarding process designed to bring you in on the SQL and QU4RTET software. In terms of ongoing training, we provide opportunities to learn more about our databases (ORACLE and MS SQL), production processes, and other relevant technologies and tools we use daily.
Additionally, you will be encouraged to proactively seek learning opportunities relevant to your daily work and we’ll cover the associated costs. We’re also big on internal knowledge sharing. Each week you’ll be meeting with all other developers for a chance to:
- Learn something new from a different project
